Tracy Quan Receives “Top 25″ Honor

The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) selected Tracy Quan as one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing for 2010. The eighth annual list, which recognizes the best of the best in the hospitality, travel and tourism industries, honored recipients during a private ceremony preceding the Adrian Awards Gala on January 31, 2011, at the New York Marriott Marquis, and also recognized them at the Adrian Reception and Gala.
The 2010 Top 25 recipients were judged by a panel of senior industry executives for their recent work based on the following criteria: creativity and innovation; cutting edge sales or marketing campaigns; triumph in challenging situations; and sales efforts that resulted in dramatic gains.
The Top 25 is a ‘hot list’ that celebrates the sales and marketing leaders and innovators of our industry, said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI. The creative strategies, passionate dedication and sharp intelligence of these professionals have not only made a difference within their organizations but have also truly raised the bar for the hospitality industry as a whole.
In addition to being recognized as a Top 25 recipient, Quan accepted a Platinum award at last weeks ceremony the highest honor at the premiere awards event for the collaborative work with public relations agency Weber Shandwick in 2009 for the launch of Royal Caribbeans Oasis of the Seas, the worlds largest and most revolutionary cruise ship. The publicity surrounding the debut of Oasis of the Seas achieved over three billion impressions globally and according to Royal Caribbean Internationals President and CEO, Adam Goldstein was the PR coup of the decade. Additionally, Royal Caribbean received a Gold award for the feature television placement GMAs Biggest Getaway, also onboard Oasis, and a Silver award for Royal Caribbeans crisis communication Haiti response program.
Tracy Quan joined Royal Caribbean International as Director, Brand Communications in 2005 and has the responsibility for the strategic direction of the global cruise brand’s communications and public relations activities. In addition, Quan oversees communications for the companys Azamara Club Cruises brand, a destination-immersive cruise line for up market travelers. Prior to joining the Royal Caribbean, Quan was Executive Director, Corporate Communications for Kerzner International, owners and operators of casino, resorts and luxury hotels around the world.
